Overview of Responsibilities: We are hiring a Retail District Manager to oversee, successfully lead, and manage our corporate locations. Our ideal candidate has multi-unit management experience in a retail setting, excels at communication, organization, and has a successful passion for membership-based sales.

Retail District Manager Essential Functions:
- Manage a region of stores to execute our business model in a safe, loving way.
- Create a comprehensive recruiting and onboarding process for stores.
- Demonstrating strategic leadership by implementing profitable processes.
- Monitoring the performance of teams and holding employees accountable for reaching targeted goals.
- Advocate Career pathing process within stores and developing bench for internal promotions.
- Incorporate the value of Scenthound’s brand, Mission and Core Values throughout locations.
- Drive membership sales through health and wellness education.
- Comfortable with facilitating and demonstrating training programs to ensure all staff are knowledgeable.
- Advocate for all dogs in our care and in our community.
- Attend events and foster positive community relations.
- Facilitate daily communication through meetings, huddles and 1:1 conversation.
- Immediately addressing any lapses in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Empower stores to resolve customer needs.
- Ensure safety of staff, customers, and dogs always.
- Deliver timely performance evaluations to Management Team.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Retail Area Manager Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of multi-unit management experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
- Proven track record in generating profit in multiple locations.
- Ability to take initiative with a sense of urgency by prioritizing business needs.
- Ability to manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the mission of Scenthound.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to coach & mentor team members in a culture-first environment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), including the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms.
- Proficient computer and CRM skills. (Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail, Excel)
- Valid driver's license and adequate transportation to perform job duties.
- Ability to work an assortment of days, including weekends when needed.
- Strong strategy and process-creation skills.
- Strong financial acumen and P&L experience.
- Must demonstrate flexibility and openness to change.
- Must have the ambition and attitude to build strategies and processes from scratch - desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Performance based bonus incentive
Compensation: $65,000.00 per year
